Tom Sessi was born and raised in a small steel town on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Growing up in this blue-collar setting and working on the family farm, Tom developed a strong work ethic and practical resourcefulness.

 

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Tom spent 17 years working for the two largest wine companies in the world in various capacities across 16 states – from sales representative to sales manager and other diverse winery positions along the way. He also spent two years working for a large importer.

 

Always an entrepreneur in spirit, Tom envisioned starting his own business in the wine industry. In January, 2010, he launched his own négociant and wine brokerage. Customer service, personal relationships and integrity are Tom’s hallmarks.

 

Whether conducting a wine seminar or talking to a stranger on a plane, Tom can be heard saying, “There’s no trick to finding a good, expensive wine. The trick is finding a wine that you like and can afford to drink on a regular basis.” That philosophy is behind the quality wines that Sessi Wine Company brings to its customers at reasonable prices. “If it doesn’t over-deliver for the price, we don’t want to be a part of it!” Sessi Wine Company aligns itself with outstanding wine producers domestically and abroad and finds values that appeal to our customers.

 

Tom lives in San Antonio, the headquarters of his best customer – HEB, with his wife, Cynthia and their two children.
